Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Put Through Its Paces

With 550 PS and a price tag that would scare off all but the richest buyers, the Cayenne Turbo S is a car of extreme performance. Everybody expects it to be the best autobahn stormer of the SUV world, but Porsche wanted to show it's so much more than that.
This clip demonstrates the most expensive and fastest Cayenne can also "navigate the roughest off-road terrain - from 45 degree hill descents to steep and uneven side-slopes that would thwart any ordinary off-roader," as they put it.

Obviously, the tires and large diameter wheels that make it fast on the track are limiting its ride quality over the rough terrain, but as you can see, ride height and front and rear clearances for the overhangs are good enough.

Very few people are ever going to do this to their beloved Cayenne. Most people we know like to keep them immaculately clean. But most will be happy to know their SUV can handle the rough stuff if it needs to.
