Porsche Cayenne Diesel, 911 GT3 Live in Germany, New Photos

The over-discussed Cayenne Diesel together with the second generation 911 GT3, Boxster and Cayman models will debut for the first time in Germany at the 19th AMI Auto Show, which will be held between March 28 and April 5, German sports manufacturer Porsche announced today in a press statement.

“Since the opening of our Leipzig plant in August 2002 Porsche and the Leipzig region have been closely affiliated. Therefore it is a given that Porsche will once again be represented at the AMI,” emphasizes Bernhard Maier, Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche Deutschland GmbH. “Our commitment in Leipzig shows the high value that Porsche places on the German market,” further explains Maier.

The Cayenne diesel will be built in the Porsche plant only a few miles away from the location of the show, the parent company said in the statement. However, a particular attraction is going to be the new 911 GT3, expected to be displayed for the first time in Germany during Press Day on March 27.

The model is capable of delivering a maximum power of 435 hp (320 kW) and a top speed of 312 km/h, being stronger and faster than its predecessor. The new 911 GT3 will go on sale in May, Porsche said.

Getting back to the Cayenne Diesel, it comes equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine developing 240 horsepower (176 kW) at 400 and a maximum torque of 40..7 lb-ft between 2000 and 2250 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, while maximum speed is rated at 133.6 mph (215 km/h).

Along with the debut at the Leipzig AMI Auto Show of the aforementioned model, Porsche also rolled out a bunch of new photos showing the Cayenne Diesel, the 911 GT3, the Cayman S and the Boxster S.
