Porsche Carrera Cup Crash Shows 911s Cuddling on Top of Each Other like Kittens

Porsche 911s may be ass-heavy machines that can beat you up like a boxering champion, but when it comes to their breed, as well as to the skilled part of the Neunelfer audience, these sportscars are nothing but German bags of love.

How else could you explain the crash that took place over the weekend in the Carrera Cup France? As you can see in the video and images below, two 911 ended up forming a sandwich.

This is a one-make series, so all cars should be equal. However, when some of the machines are mean to their own kind, others step in to sort things out.

If you ask us, Jules Gounon's 911 saw Joffrey De Narda's Porsche being bullied by another machine, which, with the help of the rear-positioned engine, turned De Narda's racecar around.

Like a kitten that cuddles on top of its brother to heal the pain, Gounon's Neunelfer climbed right on top of De Narda's spun 911.

To make things even stranger, this happened at the start of Race 2 for the weekend. And when such a crash takes place on the first lap, that red flag will interrupt the race before it even begins.

Fortunately, none of the drivers was injured in the bizarre incident.

The incident comes just one week after another 911 racing crash

Speaking of the 911 love we mentioned above, we'll remind you these machines are kind to their racing drivers even when the extremely close contact that takes place in the Carrera Cup sends them flying through the air.

The accident mentioned above comes just one week after a Porsche GT3 Cup Brazil event saw driver Pedro Piquet being involved in one of the most violent motorsport crashes of the year.

The 17-year-old, who is Nelson Piquet Jr’s little brother, managed to walk away with injuries to one of his hands, as well as helmet bruising. Given the extreme nature of the accident, these can be labeled under "I'll get over it soon."
