Porsche ‘s North American division has recently announced the year-to-date sales figures for 2011, with the result being positive ones. Porsche Cars North America managed to sell 29,023 vehicles, with the figure being translated into a 15 percent increase over the one posted in 2010
The automotive producer’s best-seller was the Cayenne SUV, which registered a massive 56 percent increase to 12,978 units in 2011. We also have to tell you that the fact the 911 was set to be replaced with a new generation in February didn’t keep customers away, with the sports car registering a five percent increase to 5,735 units.
In addition to that, Porsche’s Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles sales registered an increase from 7,298 to 8,323 units last year. However, the Panamera sedan and the Boxster-Cayman family registered a sales decrease in 2011 (11.1 and 10 percent respectively).
"2011 represents a very positive step forward for Porsche and demonstrates the brand's continued strength in the United States market," said Detlev von Platen, PCNA's President and CEO.
