Because it officially marks the end of the air-cooled era, the 993 generation of the iconic Porsche 911 occupies a special place in the minds and souls of classic German sports car aficionados. And rightfully so, considering some of its traits.
Oddly enough, the iteration was devised by Porsche as a significant departure from its predecessor – both from the technical and visual standpoint. And yet, although it featured very few common parts with the previous iteration, this was a very short-lived generation (model years 1995 to 1998 in the United States).

Due to its small production timetable and the fact that it effectively marks the end of the air-cooled 911 age, it’s only natural that 993s have turned into valuable collectibles. This means that many owners and fans value originality above all. Not all of them, it seems. Well, since we are dealing with a pixel artist’s interpretation, it’s only natural to assume some tabus will be thrashed.

Shashank Das, the virtual master behind the sdesyn account on social media has cooked up a Porsche 993 GT2 Evo that seems inspired from virtually everywhere around the world. As such, this “Dream Spec” uses the base of one of the coolest 993 derivations – the GT2, a racing-inspired 993 Turbo variant. Even better, it also levels up to the Evo version that served as the basis for the GT1 motorsport series racer and as a predecessor to the mid-engined 911 GT1.

So, that takes care of the Euro inspiration, but that’s not all. Instead, the CGI expert decides to one-up the case with a tuning makeover that serves as a tribute to Akira Nakai’s Rauh-Welt Begriff (RWB) Japanese tuning way of things. Oh, and just to make sure this also screams outrage without too much effort, there’s just a little bit more.

Never mind the lack of a rear diffuser/bumper assembly because that towering rear thing coming on top of the 993s regular rear wing screams Mopar Aero Warriors from a distance. So, Euro, JDM, and U.S. influences stretching across the stock, racing, and tuning realms... What a stunning mashup!
