Porsche 962 Race Car Driven on the Streets of Japan

Many racing enthusiasts dream of getting behind the wheel of their favorite legendary track machines, but that is complicated and sometimes illegal.
The car in this video is not the real deal, but it’s a very authentic replica of the 962 Group C racing car created by Vern Schuppan who used to race for Porsche back in the day. This fantastic machine was taken for a ride around the streets of Japan where its wide body and low nose don’t exactly look at home.

For those of you who don’t know, this is a prototype racer that had quite a bit of success in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, both with factory and private teams, in the late 80s, with some examples proving themselves worthy into the 90s.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
