Porsche 935 Joins 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, Racecars Look So Blue

Ladies and gentlemen drivers, I think I've found the perfect image for the pic of the day and I'm obviously talking about the shot above. This brings together the new Porsche 935 and 911 GT2 RS Clubsport and with the customer racecars packing similar colors (as part of different liveries, though).

As the Porschephiles among you know, both machines are derivatives of the road-going 911 GT2 RS, so we're talking about an 1,400 hp picture here.

The machines were brought together yesterday, as part of the Porsche Power Parade. Together with the 911 GT3 R, the duo took to the streets of Spa in Belgium - the stunt came in preparation for this year's edition of the 24 Hours of Spa, with the endurance race taking place today.

Now, you'll also notice a 935 that stands out in the Instagram post below (the post comes from the official Porsche customer racing community and you should use the swipe feature to enjoy the full eye candy).

"Aren't all 935s special? After all, they're only building 77 examples of the modern-day Moby Dick!" I hear you saying. Well, that is correct, but the unit I'm referring to stands out even when compared to its own kind.

That's because we're talking about an exposed carbon example. This brings us to the body of the 935, which replaces the steel and aluminum panels of the GT2 RS with CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) - this means the macine tips the scales at about 1,380 kg.

Oh, and if you're into retro Porsche liveries, you might also want to check out the GT2 RS Clubsport we discussed yesterday. This bring back the Hippie theme that made the 917L famous.

And since those who adorned their collectrions with the 935 and the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport (by the way, Porsche is building just 200 units) now taking to tracks across the world, we'll enjoy fresh occasions to discuss these rear-engined weapons.
