Any accident is frustrating, but when a crash involves a "normal car" driver reportedly hitting a hypercar and deciding to flee the scene of the accident, it's easy to understand why people would go crazy over it.
The latest victim of such a crash is a red Porsche 918 Spyder, who, according to Redditor sanhozay, was hit by a van driver who took off.

Sure, this is but a fender bender, but when we're talking about a 918 Spyder, one can't just let such a happening slide. Keep in mind that the gas-electric hypercar's nameplate also tells us how many units were built and that the go-fast animal held the Nurburgring production car lap record for an impressive three-year period.

The only positive side of this story, if we may label it as one, is that we are, most likely, talking about light damage. As you'll be able to notice in the GIF at the bottom of the page, the 918 Spyder parts that now need attention include the rear bumper, the quarter panel and, possibly, the rear wheel.

And while one might imagine that the costs related to fixing a hypercar are the kind that can easily make you weak in the knees, there's nothing that can prepare you for coming across the actual prices of Porsche halo car spare parts.

As we found out last year, when a parts specialist working at a Porsche dealership spilled the beans on the matter, the 918's rear bumper costs $16,138, while a pair of fenders is offered for $48,038.

Keep in mind that the prices mentioned above don't include the costs of the pain or the labor required to bring the hyper-hybrid back to mint condition.

This is one of the rare scenarios where we can say that the absence of the optional Weissach Package probably made things better. For one thing, the pack includes rear apron winglets and, judging by what we can see there, it looks like the one of the left side would've been seriously damaged in the impact.
