With a very limited production run of only 918 units, the Porsche 918 Spyder is a rare gem. The hybrid supercar went into production in September 2013 and was sold out a mere three months later.
That being said, opportunities of owning one still arise from time to time, because some current owners want to sell their 918s. There is no logical explanation for this. All the money in the world wouldn't convince us to sell such a car, even if we're not rich like 918 Spyder owners usually are.

But enough about our empty bank accounts and past due notices. If you have the money for it, another Porsche 918 Spyder is looking to make someone happy. Sure, it costs nearly $2 million ($1,859,900 to be exact), but it's not just any old 918. Is there even such a thing as "an old 918"?

This one was built in 2015, is number 847 in the production run, and comes in superb Martini Racing livery. It sports a black interior with acid green accents. It also comes with the Weissach package, which brings magnesium wheels, a lighter brake design, ceramic wheel bearings, titanium bolts for the chassis, and some aerodynamic odds and ends. All in the name of weight reduction and increased performance.

The 918 Spyder Wiessach can hit 60 mph in a scorching-fast 2.5 seconds, but its top speed is the same as any other 918, namely 214 mph. The plug-in hybrid drivetrain consists of a 4.6-liter V8 and two electric motors, with a combined power output of 887 hp. When it came out, the 918 Spyder was priced starting at $845,000 in the US.

The one for sale on eBay is a cool million dollars more expensive, and it's not even brand new. But it's not really a used car either, since it's only got 189 miles on the odometer. With mileage so low, we think this 918 was probably bought just to be resold for a considerable profit. We're shaking our heads in disapproval.
