The pictures were taken during the supervehicle’s dealer presentation, which was recently held in Leipzig, Germany. The images show that the toughest version of the 911 comes with a wider body and uses carbon fiber for the hood and the new air intakes, which are located behind the doors.
The supercar features a bold front lip, which comes with a design that shows strong aerodynamic characteristics, a new rear spoiler and large rear air intakes.
The vehicle’s interior has been on a serious diet, in order to allow the car to save weight (the car is expected come with a weight reduction of up to 100 kg). As an example of Porsche’s idea of a balanced diet, we can mention that the interior door handles have been replaced by thin pieces of textile material. Considering Porsche’s weight cutting obsession, we expect the GT2RS to come with features like stickers instead of badges.
No official information about the car’s specifications has been released, but reports indicate that it let its driver play with 620 hp and kill the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark in 3.2 seconds. If the game is continued, the car is expected to reach 200km/h (125 mph) in under 10 seconds and 300 km/h (187.5 mph) in less than 25 seconds.
The 911 GT2 RS does have one disadvantage however: (you guessed it!) it is expected to be priced around EUR 240,000 ($317,000). But maybe this is a good thing for some, as it reduces the chances of pulling to a traffic light and discovering that your car tastes are not so special.
