Porsche 911 Turbo S Lights Up the Night with Tuned Exhaust Flames in Armytrix Ad

The custom exhaust realm has seen its business boiling over the last few years, with the ever-growing need for individuality among the supercar clientele being the driving force behind this. And one of the exhaust producers that sits in the first line is Armytrix.

The Malaysian-based developer has recently played with a Porsche 911 Turbo S, a 991.1, but hasn't stuck to the usual approach involving filming a dyno run and perhaps a few sprints that highlight the new-found soundtrack of the Neunelfer.

Instead, Armytrix has come up with a plot, delivering a commercial. Amusingly, when you mix a 560 hp Porsche supercar and an exhaust system as raucous as the one we have here, the rest of the ad isn't all that important.

The icing on the cake comes in the form of the OBDII play at the end of the clip, which allows key engine parameters to be displayed on a smartphone app, so we can all see how the various rev ranges affect the voice of the flat-six. As for the flame-spitting moments, these are on the house.

Armytrix has done quite a lot for the 991 and we can't wait to see the tuner getting its wrenches and laptops on a 991.2 Turbo S. This obviously isn't about the 20 hp difference between the two incarnations of the supercar.

To be more precise, the 2017 mid-cycle revamp means the Turbo S comes with what can be described as a civilian anti-lag system - when the driver takes his foot off the gas for a few moments, air is still being run through the cylinders, which means the turbo is kept in the spooling zone.

We've recently had a brief stint in a 2017 Turbo S and we can confirm the move has significantly changed the throttle response, so here's to hoping we can bring you an Armytrix-voiced example soon.
