Porsche 911 GT3 RS PDK Disguised as 911 R Isn't Fooling Anybody

Porsche is enjoying more attention than ever these days and, in all the driving fetish storm Zuffenhausen has created, certain owners might lose their minds - we obviously mean this in a good way.
This might just be the case with the guy who configured the 911 in the image above (helmet tip to Autogespot for the pic). We are dealing with a GT3 RS PDK that tries to pass as a 911 R (read: THE stripes).

We've shown you tons of custom-colored Rennsport Neunelfers so far and while some might be crazier and other may be more controversial than the one we have here, none is this sneaky.

For one thing, we're not even sure how this color scheme came to be. To us, it looks like somebody got bored of their Lava Orange GT3 RS and commissioned a wrap, perhaps a liquid one, that would cover most of the car, but offer a generous cleavage. This also marks the first time when we see somebody applying Porsche's sticker badge lesson to the front plate, with the white-covered front splitter also being a premiere, albeit one that might soon need a refinish.

Heck, this piece of Zuffenhausen trolling is so sleek we'd like to see the rear wing being temporarily removed for a complete confusion effect. Come to think of it, this wouldn't even be the only GT3 RS who took a break from his rear wing.

And with many aficionados having dismissed the stripes of the 911 R, we also expect the livery seen here to split opinions. Even so, we'll cut the owner some slack: who wants to keep his car in the launch color these days, when even carmakers invite you to go as wild as possible?

Automakers are trying to take back some of the business tuners developed based on their work, but this is another story for another time.
