The SEAT Leon Cupra might be one of the spiciest hot hatches out there, despite its age, but it's obvious that the compact plays in a totally different league compared to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Nevertheless, we are here to talk about a Nurburgring chase that sees the two playing together.
Most of the action in this clip has been caught by the cameras mounted on the Leon Cupra, but we can also get the view of the Porsche driver.

Speaking of which, we're looking at a 991.1 GT3 RS here, with the two machines talking the Nurburgring during a public session. And yes, this involves running into traffic at times.

Now, most situations of the kind involved inexperienced drivers who choose to keep their uber-expensive toys in one piece, along with what I like to call Ring Wolves. The latter know the infamous German circuit like the back of their hand and have no problem pushing their considerably more affordable rides to the limit.

Then again, this doesn't seem to be the case here. Instead, judging by how the aficioando behind the wheel of the hot hatch describes the situation, the Porsche driver decided to stick to the pace of the Leon Cupra during the first's warm up lap.

Now, the go-fast hatcbakc has been prepared for the track. The powertrain work on this 2015 model sees the two-liter turbo being taken past 340 hp, while the ECU of the DSG tranny has also been worked on.

Note that the prolonged hooning required the installation of an oil cooler and an oil catch tank.

Then we have the KW Clubsport 3-way adjustable suspension, the Brembo stopping hardware, along with an roll cage and Dunlop Direzza tires (265/35 R18) wrapped around 9.5" ATS GTR wheels.

We must also mention the front spoiler and the rear diffuser, along with the fact the setup of the car has been handled by... Manthey Racing (you know, the Porsche-owned racing team and aftermarket specialist).
