When Nissan brought the R35 incarnation of the GT-R to the market one decade ago, the Japanese automaker presented Godzilla as a rival for the Porsche 911 Turbo, talking about the Nurburgring battle between the two.
Well, here we are in 2017, with the GT-R now in its final years and the Neunelfer having moved on to the next generation - the two are still duking it out on the Ring, but this time around, the battle is unofficial.

Case in point with the Green Hell action that takes place in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page. This shows a 911 GT3 RS PDK chasing a Nissan GT-R.

We need to mention that the Neunelfer we have here packs a few tuning bits, which means we can expect the car to be even quicker than the stock one. For the record, we'll mention that the Rennsport Neunelfer needs 7:20 to complete a Nurburgring lap in factory trim.

However, you shouldn't compare the time mentioned above to the chronograph number displayed in the video and there are at least two reasons for this. For one thing, the Touristenfahrten (Tourist Days) session means the Bridge to Gantry layout is used, so the main straight of the track is missing.

However, the traffic on the track, which wasn't exactly light, kept getting in the way. Nevertheless, this brawl isn't about the stopwatch. Instead, we're here to enjoy the game involving the two cars.

As for the GT-R, the Nissan has also been taken down the aftermarket path. The first thing that strikes one is the police livery of the car, which shouldn't be taken all that seriously.

When it comes to the custom tech bits fitted to the Japanese supercar, we're not aware of the exact mods. Nevertheless, the thing spits fire like a dragon.
