While both the Lamborghini Huracan and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS belong to the supercar genre, there are so many differences between the two that it would take pages to discuss them all in detail.
However, when the most vicious member of the Neunelfer's 997 generation and the "standard" V10 Lambo you can buy nowadays line up next to each other for a drag race, the stereo, which should normally be off in such cars, ought to play Metallica's Nothing Else Matters.

The pair of Volkswagen Group high-velocity pearls recently met on an empty airfield, where they engaged in straight line battle. However, the Huracan's all-wheel-drive advantage was lost, since the supercars went for a 37 mph (60 km/h) rolling start.

Now, before you scroll over to the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which shows this family brawl in detail, we want to talk about the on-paper aspects of these octane demons.

The 620 hp GT2 RS, which comes with a manual gearbox, tops the 610 dual-clutch Huracan in terms of the power-to-weight ratio, since the first has 2.4 kg per hp, while the latter comes with 2.7 kg per hp. As for the maximum twist battle, the Lambo's naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 delivers 413 lb-ft (560 Nm), while the twin-turbo 3.6-liter flat-six of the Zuffenhausen machine has 516 lb-ft (700 Nm).

Even so, the Raging Bull manages to beat the Rennsport Neunelfer in the quarter mile sprint, with the Lambo completing the task in 10.4 seconds - the Porsche needs an extra 0.4s for the job.

Given the numbers mentioned above, we expected the race in the clip below to require a photo finish, but, as we mentioned in the title, that wasn't the case.

P.S.: Those of you who take great pleasure in such battles should also check out the drag race involving a 991.2 Turbo S and a Huracan LP580-2.
