Porsche 911 GT2 R Sportec In Action

Youtube Mikesupercars filmed this very unique Porsche GT2 R Sportec at Gran Turismo Events Nurburgring. The green monster used to be just a regular 2008 997-generation GT2, until the guys at Sportec kitted it out with all the bells and whistles and tuned it into a real track monster.
For the road, this setup would be utterly ridiculous, but for the track you won’t be able to say this doesn’t stand out in the right sort of way. The car is also incredibly fast, as you’re about to see in this video. The sound this car makes is intense and the flybys are pretty fast!

“I've had the car for a while now, it initially started out as a totally stock '08 997 GT2 and has been modified step by step over the past two years. Last winter I decided to give it a try and went a step further. The idea was to build something special which would fully correspond to what I see as the perfect track toy. The complete project only took around three and a half months. All the work has been done by the guys at Sportec in Switzerland,” the owner of the car says.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
