You would imagine that a Porsche 911 trying to pull a Mclaren F1 on us is the kind of car one buys and holds on to for decades. Well, you'd be wrong, as the three-seater 911 Cabriolet we have here is not at its first post-modification owner.
In fact, the odd-seater Zuffenhausen machine is currently up for grabs, being listed by a Georgia dealer - hat tip to Drive for bringing the story to our attention.

Porsche 911s with a central driving position aren't the kind you can easily forget, so we remember this car initially showed up in 2012. Renamed Centro 911, the contraption was built by Trinity Motorsports in Lima, Ohio.

Now, you might wonder what drives a man to mess with the sweet two-plus-two seating arrangement of a rear-engined Porsche. Well, Nigel Tuckey of Trinity Motorsports takes us through the story behind this Cabriolet in the video below, which dates back to 2012 note that the images we have here come from back then.

While the company did state it would build a second car, all the details on the one we have here point out to the fact that we're dealing with the PDK-gifted car we showed you four years ago.

However, it could make sense not to keep such a wacky Porscha in your garage for too long. After all, the Woking hero that served as an inspiration for this project actually allowed three adults to enjoy the go-fast experience and we can't say the same about the contraption we have here.

As far as the passenger on the right is concerned, his or her job would probably have to involved operating the PDK transmission with his legs. And even the passenger on the right could have serious accommodation issues, due to the bar used for relocating the driver's seat belt.

Then again, with the Neunelfer delivering such an engaging driving experience, perhaps this 997.2 Carrera S Cabriolet has hidden talents that can only be revealed once you get behind its now-central steering wheel.
