It’s impossible to forget how the Porsche 911 was supposed to be called 901, but the Germans couldn’t keep their intended name due to Citroen claiming a patent for designations coming in this form. Well, it seems that somebody’s come up with a way to solve the conflict. Meet the 911DS, a mix between the Porsche 911 and the Citroen DS.
Sure, Peugeot didn’t own Citroen back in the day when they had their acid talk with Porsche, but since the 911DS is an incredibly crazy proposal, none of this matters.

This looks like a front end of the first 911 bolted to a Citroen DS, with its wheels appearing to be a set of retro Porsche rollers.

It’s pretty hard to see how the two can be connected other than the fact that they were launched within a 10-year period. The 911 was pure Germany and the Citroen DS was undiluted France.

However, the people over at Brandpower have joined the two and the cocktail also includes a 260 HP turbocharged flat six. We’re not quite sure if the thing is real - it looks more like an design story than a technical one that's already been built. Take a closer look at some of the photos and you'll see Photoshop traces.

In fact, Brandpower places the emphasis on the social side of the project "The 911DS represents the effort of two countries, a genuine attempt to join their energy and talent into one thing. We hope Germany and France will be inspired by Brandpowder's story, as a metaphor for a better and greater Europe."
