Porsche 356 Stuka Drag Racer

Anyone that’s been behind the wheel during a drag race event knows that this kind of activity has is own subtle pathways - thins are not as simple as “floor it!”. Of course, it’s easy to drag race a car if you don’t care about true performance and the protection of the mechanical components, but you would be missing the point.

Anyway, the world is full of purpose-built drag machines. Starting from toilet seats with four-wheels and a mouse-powered engine and ending with Top Fuel dragsters, these machines have only one purpose: to reach the horizon as fast as possible.

This purpose means that the vehicles come with a “must” list, but also allows them to rely less on certain components. Such as the steering (during the start phase). Let’s take the custom creation form the adjacent image for example.

As you can see, the acceleration-focused vehicle is performing the usual drag start dance, with its beefy rear tires fighting for traction and its front end dangling in the air.

Who knows, maybe the car is trying to take off. This wouldn’t be such a strange thing if we consider the project’s name. This Porsche 356-bodies drag star uses the “Stuka” name, which originates from a World War 2 precision bomber.

This actually seems pretty nice: we are talking about a dive bomber that has found a new purpose in life, being “turned” into a drag racer, with the weapon now sitting at the back.
