We’ve seen plenty of low-riding cars and trucks in our time, making good use of air suspension and body panels. Thanks to a combination of all those elements, but adding some clever photo angles, the one we have here is more mesmerizing than most of the others.
What you’re looking at was once a stock 1957 Chevrolet 3100. Like many of its kind, it was rescued and given another chance at life on the custom market thanks to some serious modifications.

Riding on a Roadster Shop chassis equipped with an airbag suspension system, the truck presents a body handled by an Ohio-based shop called Street Machinery. It is painted in satin ochre finish with a cream roof and drags itself so close to the ground with the suspension at full swing that it almost hurts the eye.

Inside, the truck shows a modern interpretation of the six-decades-old cabin, with a brown leather bench sitting in front of a partially gloss ochre dashboard. The control panel that allows for the insane ride height variations is located below the dash, coming with two air pressure gauges and toggle switches.

The 20-inch Ridler wheels get their mojo thanks to a supercharged 6.0-liter LS2 V8, sourced from a 2005 Pontiac GTO, linked to a six-speed manual transmission. Just like the chassis, the engine was handled by a garage from North Carolina called Southern Kustom.

The truck is for sale, and we found it on a live auction on Bring a Trailer. There are two days left in the process, and the tally is already at $45,000, proof that people do see the show value of this machine.

According to the seller, the truck is going with 1,300 miles (2,090 km) on the clock, and comes complete with a clean Ohio title. As a side note, the GTO-powered 1957 Chevrolet 3100 sells out of Michigan.
