Police Stopping Supercars in Monaco Is When Hooning Meets the Law

With the Top Marques Monaco event, tons and tons of supercars and other sorts of look-at-me machines have rushed onto the tight streets of Monaco. Even the Bugatti dealer located inside the Fairmont complex has brought a Chiron, so things are more than serious. Heck, Porsche also brought a four-car convoy consisting of "unmarked" 911 Rs to the city and it's not like the location provides any kind of driving conditions you can't find anywhere else in the world.

Nevertheless, this has required extra care from the police. Sure, the officers are used to screaming exhaust, tinted windows and microscopic ride height values, but as we mentioned above, the traffic got a little heavier than usual, so they were forced to follow suit.

Now, many of the drivers who seek attention by taking their rides on the streets that hold the Monaco Gran Prix often turn to trolling. While the mods on some of their cars are enough to require the label above, others make full use of flaming exhaust or other such borderline legal mods.

Well, the officers didn't blink when it came to pulling these drivers over and the supercar spotters were obviously there to catch everything on camera - the pair of clips below will give you a pretty good idea of what we're talking about.

There's always been one thing that has fascinated yours truly when it comes to Monaco police officers, and that's their level of discipline. You can see them sitting in the heavy sun like statues, with the boots one-upping the kind of polish visible on ladies' shoes during the city's nightlife episodes.

And, as I found out during a less-than-desirable encounter with a few of the local officers, these guys know what Gymkhana means, even though some of them use a French pronunciation that seems extremely amusing (think Jimmy-khaanaa). And giggling is not exactly the kind of attitude a driver should display when being pulled over, right?
