From the travel brochures, London looks like the perfect tourist destination if you want to get away from the hot Middle Eastern sun. It’s nice and cool, has plenty of luxury shops and cultural locations. The only problem is it’s not very supercar-friendly, and we’re not talking about something as trivial as finding parking spaces.
A bunch of policemen were stopping cars with Arab plates outside Harrods recently to check if they had te right documents to run about the capital’s streets. A 911 GT3 RS and another Aventador had no problems, but this one, a matte black car with Kuwaiti plates, didn’t.
The owner was very convinced that his papers were legitimate, but the police disagreed and impounded the mighty supercar.
It’s quite painful to watch an expensive exotic car being put on a trailer, not very carefully we might ad. The suspension geometry and the wheels will have to be be checked after that 30% incline the pickup bed.
With TV cameras all around, we can’t help but feel the police were enforcing the law a bit too strictly.
