Polaris is a company primarily known for making gasoline-powered quad bikes (ATVs) and snowmobiles, yet they have, more than once, manifested their interest in electric vehicles. Now, Polaris have chosen the Interbike Show, held in Las Vegas to launch their very own range of electrically-assisted bicycles.
They chose to keep the main company name still present, and so, Polaris Electric Bikes was born, and they have shown off their entire five-model range. The top of the range bike is called the Vector, and it is followed by the Strive, Strive ST, Meridian and Meridian ST. To keep things clear, the ST derivatives are specially designed for women.

All bikes costs $2,499 (€1,935) and feature the same powertrain, consisting of a 450 W electric motor, which powers the rear wheel through an eight-speed hub-mounted transmission. It can travel up to 48 km (30 miles) on a single charge, and can reach a top speed of 29 km/h (18 mph).
