Polaris has been quite busy in the last years and seems to be able to handle quite a lot of things simultaneously: reviving the Indian Motorcycles brand is just one of their latest endeavors, aligned neatly with their powerful ATV/snowmobile line and the great Victory bikes. However, The Kneeslider found a patent filed by Polaris for a .. reverse trike.
Surprise or not, we kind of seen this coming, at least in the shape of a prototype. However, taking a look at the drawings we see that Polaris is thinking about a sid-by-side machine, unlike the rival's Can-Am Spyder.

The drawing show some very aggressive design, not unlike the KTM X-Bow, and that's awesome. The power plant is described as a GM 2.4 L Ecotech engine with manual transmission, though we might very well see this 3-wheeler blazing past with an electric, too.

This new Polaris contraption could also include ABS, traction control and limited-slip clutch, a combined braking system and a vehicle stability control routine to eliminate drifting during fast turns. While there is still no word on whether the Polaris is really going to build this reverse trike in larger numbers, we might very well expect they actually do think about mass-producing it. We'll be looking for it, anyway.
