Polaris Confirms Slingshot in Europe and Reservation Website

While we knew that the Slingshot was getting ready to cross the Atlantic in Europe, the rest of the details were still fuzzy in early August when we had the initial confirmation. A month and a half later, Polaris decides it's high time to shed some light in this matter, and announces that the first reservations will be taken as early as the end of this month.

Though the domain iwantmyslingshot.com is still showing a blank landing page, this is the very portal European customers will have to use as of the 30th of September to reserve their Slingshot. This website works for customers in France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Italy and Benelux, with more countries expected to be added shortly.

Registering on iwantmyslingshot.com does not come with obligations, Polaris informs us. The registration will simply indicate Polaris dealers the customers' interest in this three-wheeler. The dealers will then contact each interested customer for providing additional info and preparing the deposit process.

The Slingshot will arrive in Europe in the first half of November

Europe will receive the first Slingshot units in the first half of November, and they will obviously reach the customers who made the first reservations and subsequent deposit.

As the Slingshot becomes available just before the EICMA, we can definitely expect to see it in the center of attention in Milan. We will be there to seize the moment and take a kazillion live photos, while hoping to reach one of the Slingshot officials for an exclusive interview.

As for the tech details, those who still don't know too much about the Slingshot will soon have a most comprehensive web-based knowledge base at polarislingshot.eu, a website most likely to become operational in days.
