Nowadays the Plymouth brand is as dead as roadkill but back in the 60s and 70s, owning a Plymouth was cool.
Living in the 21st century, where safety was everything, can you imagine that the Plymouth took a gamble and built a car that was supposed to hit 200 miles per hour?

It’s called the Superbird and it was a highly modified version of the Road Runner. Under two thousand of these were built, weighting in at 3,841 lb (1,742 kg) and offering a distinct protruding, aerodynamic nosecone and that famous rear wing.

This cool example is up for grabs on eBay right now, and the owner promises it’s 100% original. With only 18,000 miles on the clock and two careful owners, it’s not hard to understand why bidding is currently at $75,000. The car has been sitting in dry storage for 12 years and is almost completely rust-free. What’s more, this is one of 466 models that had a 440 engine and a four-speed manual gearbox.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
