The Plymouth Prowler has always been a striking car to behold, with its unmistakably uber-retro styling and big presence, it was definitely not a car for those who don’t want to get noticed. However, real enthusiasts never really took a liking to it because while it may have looked the part, its 3.5-liter V6 with 253 hp and a four-speed automatic gearbox were never really enough to make it truly sporty.
However, wouldn’t a 6.1-liter Hemi engine solve that problem, right? We say yes, yes it would. With 425 hp in a vehicle which is not particularly heavy, performance should be much more to the liking of real driving enthusiasts. The engine swap was carried out by a North Carolina-based garage, called Perfomance Innovations.
Aside from the swap itself, they also added a custom Mopar-style hood, a black hardtop, uprated brakes and Lambo-doors (which don’t really suit the car, in our opinion).
