While its styling was aggressive, this wasn't quite matched by the firepower, as, throughout the Prowler was powered by a V6 unit delivering 214 hp at first and 257 hp later on in the vehicle's life.
It wasn't uncommon to see a Prowler with a V8 engine swap, as drivers aimed for a full-throttle hotrod experience.
2013 brings us a new proposal of this kind, which comes from North Carolina-based Performance Innovations, which gifted a 1999 Plymouth Prowler with a 6.1-liter Hemi V8. When it leaves the factory, the V8 unit delivers 425 hp and 420 lb-ft (569 Nm) of torque.
The videos below allow you to see how the muscle-injected Prowler behaves in the real world. you can also see additional build detail on the Hemi Prowler Facebook page.
