Plugless Power Getting Ready for Production

Evatran, which is a clean technology company, announced that it has contracted with Syncroness, a company which handles product development and design consultancy, in order to start selling the Plugless Power, the world’s first “hands free” EV charging solution.

The system is made up of two components and utilizes inductive charging. It is meant to offer EV drivers a worry-free way of keeping their vehicles charged, as cables are no longer involved.

"We are impressed with Syncroness' portfolio, which includes designing and managing the complete development-to-production process for a range of successful consumer products,"
says Rebecca Hough, director of sales and marketing for Evatran. "We also anticipate leveraging Syncroness' expertise to help us comply with third-party approvals and standards."

At first, the project involving Evatran and Syncroness will imply a three week period in which the companies will make up a nine month plan which has the aim to bring Plugless Power up to full production ability by the forth quarter of 2010.

"We are pleased to be working with Evatran's highly experienced engineering team," said Jorg Lorscheider, chief marketing officer of Syncroness. "Recognizing the potential of Plugless Power, we are honored to be playing a pivotal role in defining this product's long-term strategy."

According to Evatran's Plugless Power, they “will streamline the process of charging electric vehicles and extended-range hybrids by eliminating the nuisance of the cord and the plug.” Such a system which will become universal will really help increase the interest in the EV sector.
