As professional photographers often explain, doing shootings with gorgeous models all day may not be half as relaxing as it sounds. So what do the guys over at Playboy, for instance, like to engage in during their breaks? Well, for one thing, they review cars and they’ve recently released the 2014 Playboy Cars of the Year Awards.
The cake went to the Jaguar F-Type, which gained the crown thanks to the obvious reasons - its exhaust note. Jokes aside, the Jag was praised for its handling on the track, as well as for its rather civilized behavior on the track.

When it came to the sports cars, the title went to the Corvette Stingray, which left behind opponents such as the SRT Viper, the Porsche Cayman and the fastest Aston in the company’s history, the V12 Vantage S. An easily understandable choice, given the Corvette’s multiple personality.

Mercedes’ CLA won the Best Sedan category, topping much more serious metal such as the Cadillac CTS, Audi RS7 and Mazda3. The idea of a Mercedes-Benz that would be offered under $ 30,000 was the main mentioned asset.

As for the Green Car category, this saw the Honda Accord Hybrid taking the lead. The high score was received thanks to the petrol-electric sedan’ engineering and decent driving dynamics. Playboy said “No” to BMW’s i3, Tesla’s Model S, as well as to the Chevrolet Cruze Diesel.

BMW once owned Range Rover, but now their third-generation X5 had to make room for the British marque’s Range Rover Sport, which took the SUV / Crossover trophy. Somewhere in a dark corner, Playboy also talked about the Subaru Forester. Luckily, not to much.
