Many of the new cars that have been launched over the past year are screaming for a pair of Playboy bunny ears in their cabin (or perhaps more than just one) and so the publication decided to gift them with just that, releasing its 2015 Car of the Year Awards.
You may imagine the team over at Playboy spends day after day lost in the world of feminine beauty, but that's far from painting the complete picture. For instance, these people take the time to select the best cars that suit the lifestyle each an every year and the time has come to talk about their choices for 2015.

We're not sure if they're going to allow it to occupy the entire cover, but the cake went to the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS. How can you argue with such a choice? When the turbo revolution is coming, we can only salute such a special naturally-aspirated edition such as the GTS. Consider this a bridge between the standard 911 models and the GT3 track beast. However, this is the kind of bridge you want to stay on, not necessarily cross. Oh and unlike the GT3, you can have it with a stick.

When it came to the pick for the Sedans and Coupes category, the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe was selected. Mercedes-Benz definitely knows a thing or two about grand tourers and since the S-Class was always their flagship, integrating the CL into the family only reveals how much attention the Germans paid to crafting this car. Still, we'd go with a Bentley instead. It may not be as fresh, but it's more refined.

In the sports cars and convertibles area, we find the Alfa Romeo 4C. Afla's wild child probably deserves the class title... twice. First of all, its carbon fiber structure and overall spice are enough to raise anybody's bpm. Then there's its role as the commander of the Alfa Romeo army that aims to reconquer the US market.

The Cadillac Escalade was declared the king of the CUV and SUV category. Sure, there are more dynamic SUVs out there, but when it comes to providing coziness and space, this nameplate is hard to beat.

While Playboy said "no" to both the BMW i3 and the Tesla Model S back in 2014, this year they gave the Green/Alternative Power crown to BMW's i8. Perhaps they wanted to salute the effort of mixing sportscar performance with green credentials. We'd still wait a few years until this kind of cars become more poised and less "early adopter fetish" until thinking about purchasing one.

The "Best Splurges" accolade was split between the Lamborghini Huracan and the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II. While the Huracan was too soft for our taste (the understeer is the best example here), we have to admit the Gallardo's successor has managed to give the world the first product to ever come from Sant'Agata Bolognese that can be used as a daily driver.

As for the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, words are meaningless. It's just... THAT car. And it also have enough room to accommodate half the Playmate population at the Playboy Mansion.
