The ZAZ 968M you see being tested by the lovely Irina Olhovskaya was built between 1979 to 1994. The engine is a 1.2-liter fitted at the back and capable of delivering 41 horsepower. The speedo goes all the way up to 160 km/h, but we doubt this pensioner’s car will do that sort of speed.
To you and me, this is just a rust bucket, but it’s a simple, honest car from the USSR that you fix with a hammer and a set of spanner. As per usual, Irina is very insightful and tells things from a woman’s point of view.
