In case you didn’t know, Playboy has a resident automotive editor. Each year, he and the not-so-auto editors choose the magazine’s cars of the year and it is now time to see what they’ve selected for the January/February issue of the mag, which is already out.
Ken Gross and the rest of the team gave the Jaguar XKR-S the top spot in the 2012 Playboy Car of the Year. Oh yeah, it’s a bad cat and, by the way, the link is safe for work.

Staying in the indecent pricing area, we also have the Lamborghini Aventador and the Bentley Continental GTC. Next, we enter the world of family go-fast fun, with the Audi A7 and the Mercedes CLS63 AMG. If you’re more of the egoist type, but still want to go fast, Playboy gives you the BMW 1M Coupe and the Ford Mustang Boss 302.

Those in the market for a crossover are directed toward the fresh Range Rover Evoque, while eco fans should go for the Lexus CT 200h, according to the magazine. For those with more limited budgets, Playboy recommends the Hyundai Veloster and the Fiat 500.
