Platinum Motorsport Audi R8 Means Business

Performance vehicles enthusiasts had been waiting for years to see Audi release a supercar. Back in 2007, the miracle became a reality as the German automotive producer released the V8-powered R8. The years that followed brought us an entire R8 range, which now also includes a V10 model that is a true beast, Spyder incarnations for both the V8 and the V10 versions of the vehicle, as well as an ultra-hardcore GT model, which manages to take the performance game to a whole new level.

Of course, the R8 has also become one of the favorite toys for tuners. Aftermarket companies from all around the world have been flooding us with modifications packages that cater for any need an R8 owner (regardless of the model) could possibly have.

Today, we are are presenting you an US modification proposal for the German machine. The project you see here comes from Platinum Motorsport. We are talking about an R8 which likes to show that it means business.

The vehicle has ditched its factory stock rims for a set of Auto Couture Slate wheels that come in a 20-inch size and use a multi-spoke design, which offers an ultra-dynamic image. The wheels use a bi-color finish, with a black body and a blue (this matches the color of the vehicle) outer circle.

The creation wears a Hofele exterior kit that improves both the aerodynamics and the aesthetics. One element that really caught our eye is the discreet yet aggressive front splitter.
