Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, goes the old saying, but sometimes the beholder can go a little overboard and come with stuff like this all-pink Rolls-Royce Ghost.
You can imagine Charles Stewart Rolls and Sir Frederick Henry Royce twisting in their graves because of this abomination bearing their names. When they started the company in 1906, little did they know that more than a century later, a Chinese person (it's safe to assume it's a woman, but assumption is the mother of all f**k-ups so we'll stay clear of that) will order one of their prestigious cars in the color of the most famous panther (is that settled, or is Bagheera still challenging the title?).
Everything with a customizable color in this car was turned to pink, and we do mean everything. The only bits to have escaped Barbie's wrath were the steering wheel, the upper part of the dashboard, the floor lining and the seat belts. Other than that, there's so much of it, this Rolls-Royce would put a little girl's room to shame.
It's the same on the outside. Seeing this car pull off, I swear I would expect somebody in Pink Panther's suit to get out. It's the only way it would make sense. It needs to be either a joke (a very expensive one), or something done deliberately in spite of Rolls-Royce, for some unknown reason.
Unfortunately, it's neither of the two. Apparently, the owner of the car already has a name for the new car and, predictably, it's "Pink Baby". Despite its hiding place, the Spirit of Ecstasy didn't escape unharmed and was actually replaced with one made of white crystal.
We never thought a Rolls-Royce could be made to look cheap, but somebody managed to do it. And, according to our source - carnewschina - it's not some crazy obscure tuning job, but the work of Rolls-Royce UK themselves. I don't know if they're trying to send out the message that they have a sense of humor, but they should really stop. I can understand it's an important client with a lot of money, but things like these can dent the company's image, which on the long run is a lot more dangerous than losing one single tacky client. Just saying.
