Pink Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake Is Real

Aston Martin revealed the limited-run Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake in full late last year, confirming that it would build the usual run of 99 units. This is one of the last. It's going to stand out probably cause a bit of controversy.

Since we're big shooting brake fans, we're glad that Aston decided to end the run with this bad boy. The wagon-like version of the outgoing Vanquish sports GT joins 99 coupes and roadsters. There's also a small batch of more exclusive Zagato Speedsters, bringing the total to 325 units.

But of those 325 cars, we aren't aware of any other pink ones. Now, pink is an increasingly rare color among the conformist Aston Martin crowd. It probably stands for something cool like prosperity or family in Asia, but we just see it as "girly."

A pink MINI or Nissan Juke is a waste of money, so you have to wonder how the color impacts the value of this collectible which is rumored to cost in the region of £650,000.

Any fellow with basic Photoshop knowledge can take a photo of a car and turn it pink. However, this is the real deal, since the images come from the Instagram account of one andyataston. You know... the president and CEO.one an

Underneath that bespoke bodywork is still the old Vanquish S platform, complete with the old naturally-aspirated 5.9-liter V8 engine. But the shooting brake body has many fans, and we can see why. The roof has a bubble-like quality with a wedge-shaped sunroof going down the middle. Aston's provocative designers connected their rocket ship taillights to the trunk spoiler.

With a tiny trunk opening and even smaller rear window, Barbie's Aston Martin probably isn't the best for shopping. We've seen shoeboxes that are larger than this trunk. But if getting noticed is the aim of the owner, he most certainly succeeded.
