Trellis Frame for Ducati 1199 Panigale
Italian frame builder Pierobon announces their all-new frame developed for the Ducati 1199 Panigale machines.
However, Pierobon's expertise lies with tubular trellis frames, so the announcement should bring much joy to those who are not exactly fond of Ducati's monocoque frame.

While saving a lot of weight compared to a more traditional chassis, the monocoque design was reported as being highly unpredictable by many professional riders in both SBK and MotoGP. So maybe that's why some customers somehow link Ducati's modest performance in superbike and premiere class racing to it.

Pierobon will be present at the 2013 EICMA and will showcase the trellis Panigale frame and it will most likely please the Ducati "fundamentalists" who have more than once becried that the Bolognese bikes are losing the very visual element which made them truly unmistakeable.

Given Pierobon's expertise in racing-grade frame-making, we can expect the Panigale to become even more good-looking, if not a tad better.
