The Jaguar F-Type R is probably the only car in the world right now that all of the autoevolution editors find perfectly good looking. Yes, we’re all in love with how this car looks and sounds like, especially in V8 guise (not that the V6 S would be anything to frown upon).
However, one man once said that there’s always room for improvement and that’s where tuners intervene. The latest to take a stab at enhancing the F-Type is Piecha Design.
The Coupe received the usual carbon fiber add-ons and it seems like they are really changing its appearance this time around. The complete body kit is made up of a new front spoiler lip together with side wings that look just right.
The side skirts are enhanced using parts made of the same lightweight and high tensile material while going all the way to the back will reveal the new diffuser that houses the four tailpipes of the might 5-liter V8 under the bonnet.
Not that the Jag needed it, but Piecha Design somehow decided that some new exhaust tips would come in handy. Therefore, they replaced the originals with 90 mm units that indeed make the rear end of the car stand out even more now. As far as the sound is concerned, we doubt there’s any noticeable improvement.
Probably the most impressive feature of the new kit is the huge wing at the back that’s also made entirely of carbon fiber and definitely looks mean as hell. Couple that with the 21” rims and you get a head turner in a jiffy.
Prices are a pain in the butt though, no matter how good the car looks like. The front wings, for example, will set you back €643 and that seems like a bargain at first but if you want them made of lacquered carbon they will set you back €2,261. Yes, the wings alone will cost that much.
Other items are pricy as well such as the fancy wing that we were telling you about. That one costs €3,451 while the rear diffuser will be €3,689 for the V8 model. Yes, these parts are expensive, to say the least. Check out the attached pdf for the complete list of prices.
