While Ford and Chevrolet are enjoying a tight battle in the musclecar market, the Blue Oval company continues to smash its Detroit rival as far as pickup sales go. Last month, Ford sold enough F-Series truck to surpass deliveries of the Chevrolet Silverado and Ram 1500 put together.
Detroit’s best-selling truck sold 65,501 units last month, while Chevrolet delivered 34,386 Silverados and Ram sold 29,635 1500s. The Chrysler-owned brand experienced the highest growth, at 22 percent, while Ford and Chevrolet had to settle for 16.3 percent and 12.1 percent respectively.
Next in line are the GMC Sierra (14,362 / 22.5%), Toyota Tacoma (12,601 / 2.7%), Toyota Tundra (10,010 / 20.5%), Nissan Frontier (6,003 / 54.6%) and the Nissan Titan (1,180 / -32.6%).
Moving over to year-to-date sales, the F-150 delivered 688,810 units through November, followed by Chevrolet Silverado with 437,821 examples and Ram 1500 with 322,268 units.
