Patrick Stewart’s close relation with Wil Wheaton has “struck” the social networks again. This time, “Captain Picard” was really the captain, while the younger “Wesley Crusher” didn’t get to play his role.
Famous actor Patrick Stewart posted a picture on his Twitter account while he was piloting a real helicopter. “Oh, hell. I think I’ve pissed myself”, he wrote along the picture. Four hours later, his long admirer and close friend actor Wil Wheaton answered to the tweet.
He allusively wrote that the problem was he was not the one piloting “the shuttle.” Of course all Star Trek fans went wild on retweeting.
For those out there who don’t really know the story and are not yet laughing at the joke, we’ll remind you that Patrick Stewart is famous for playing character Captain Picard from the Star Trek series, among other blockbusters. In the TV series, Wil Wheaton was playing the character Wesley Crusher, who got to take the lead and become the pilot of the famous Sci-Fi space shuttle, several times.
As a matter a fact, this little Twitter adventure is not the first thing the two actors have. In February, Patrick posted a picture of him while doing one-armed push-ups to celebrate his team’s super bowl win. After some hours, Wheaton saw the post and started flattering the “Captain”. In the end, it all turned into a funny short Twitter conversation, in which they acted like Wheaton was Stewart’s butler.
The thing we are naturally wondering is if Stewart will take Wheaton with him the next time he will pilot a helicopter.
