Philip Waring is Mazda Europe's New COO

Not all automaker employees are going through hard times at the moment. New Year comes with great news for some of them. If you work at Mazda Motors, you're vice president of Sales on the European wing of the company and your name happens to be Philip John Waring, it is a real pleasure to announce you that you've have just got a promotion.

The news comes not as a late Christmas gift from Santa's huge bag, but rather as a well-deserved promotion after about 8 years of dedicated work serving Mazda customers.

Well, it's now official that the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Mazda Motor Europe is no one else but Philip J. Waring who is going to occupy this position starting January 1st.

In addition to his sales responsibilities, Waring will now be in charge with the marketing slice of the brand as well. But since he has already felt the taste of being a Dealer Operations Director and also a Managing Director  within the British part of Mazda and with a consistent background in the sales area, he shouldn't face serious problems with his new responsibilities.

Yet, good news come in packages of at least two, so another Mazda employee of the management board is going to carry away the garland. Actually, this one left room for Waring to advance on his career ladder. It was high time Masahiro Moro, currently Vice President of Marketing in Europe, to go to the next level, more exactly, to the position of Executive Officer, Assistant to the Officer in charge of Global Sales and Global Marketing at Mazda's office in Japan. The title might sound grandiose, but Moro seems to have proven enough skill to go forward.

As James Muir, President and CEO of Mazda Motor Europe says: “These promotions are well deserved, as both men have been key contributors to our business during the last few years.”

That being said, we can only wish them “Good luck!” and bring Mazda Motors at the peak of success!
