Peugeot UK to Host Eco Vehicle Event

Peugeot’s UK arm is organizing a special “green” event at the Durham University (Queens Campus) to showcase its eco-efficient developments.

The French carmaker will present its range of current and future low emissions vehicles during the event, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow. A fleet of Peugeot eco vehicles will be available for test drives. Attendees will be able to get behind the wheel of the new i0n four-seater electric vehicle (scheduled to enter the UK market at the end of 2010) and the all-electric Peugeot Bipper & Expert vans.

Peugeot will display the largest collection of environmental friendly technology and will bring specialists from its Paris headquarters who will offer information about the company’s latest carbon reduction strategies. They will share information about Peugeot’s environmentally-friendly technology and design achievements. In addition to this, the automotive producer will preview its future eco plans, indicating the pathways that the company will follow to reduce carbon emissions.

The event will be hosted by Jon Goodman, Peugeot UK’s Managing Director and Simon Bailes, Dealer Principal of Simon Bailes Peugeot in Durham. This is the company’s North East region’s Plugged in Places project partner.

This is a perfect opportunity for people to get on the inside-track of the latest phase of Peugeot’s carbon reduction strategy and experience and embrace electric vehicles, including the i0n electric car, Bipper electric van and the Expert electric van. Also on show will be our latest models - 3008, 5008 and the stunning new RCZ,” said Jon Goodman, Managing Director, Peugeot UK.
