Peugeot To Debut 4007 DCS Automatic in Frankfurt

French manufacturer Peugeot has just introduced its latest addition to the 4007 range, equipped with Dual Clutch System (DCS). Peugeot 4007 DCS Automatic will be making its first public appearance at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show (2009 IAA), but the Company says that it’s already available for ordering. Peugeot’s new SUV was fitted with a 2.2-liter HDi FAP 156 bhp engine version with semi-automatic gearbox and dual clutch transmission, scoring 38.7 mpg (6.07 l/100km) on the combined cycle and an improved environmental efficiency with 192g/km of CO2. The semi-automatic gearbox is equipped with six speeds that can be managed in two ways: in automatic mode with two operating programs (Drive or Sport) or in semi-automatic mode (Sequential) by using the gear selection paddles located behind the steering wheel. Moreover, the French carmaker did not neglect the need of restyling, and surrounded the instrument panel visor and the front door strips with a new trim, while the air conditioning controls has chrome trim finish. The multi-function display, located between the two instrument panel dials has a new color graphic interface, with the help of an LCD matrix. The exterior design has only been slightly changed and is distinguished by twin tailpipes. There two trim levels available for the 4007 DCS automatic models, namely the SE and GT, both equipped as standard with seven seats. According to a statement released by the manufacturer, the 4007 range starts at £23,345 (on-the-road) with the DCS automatic, with the SE trim, starting from £24,545 (on-the-road). autoevolution will be attending the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of these vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions.
