Peugeot Releases the 107 Envy Special Edition

In celebration of the 500,000th Peugeot 107 rolling off the assembly line, the French carmaker introduced a special edition of its popular city car, the 107. The ENVY model comes with the same great package that made the 107 widely appreciated, while delivering a much higher value for money.

Based on the 107 Urban, the new special edition model comes with a safety upgrade, consisting of ABS, electronic brake distribution, corner stability control (CSC), four airbags and power steering.

Comfort updates include remote controlled central locking, electric front windows, internally adjustable door mirrors, a height adjustable steering column, a radio/CD player with MP3 socket for convenience and air conditioning. The seating is in black an gray upholstery and the back seat can be split folded.

The exterior of the car suffered minor modifications, that include body color exterior door mirrors, black body side trims, dark tinted rear windows and 14 inch alloy wheels.

A new Euro5 engine has been introduced across the range, with carbon dioxide emissions as low as 103 grams per kilometer.

The 107 was launched in June 2005 and has since enjoyed increasing popularity with production volumes remaining on an upward trend every year. In 2006, its first full year of production, Peugeot produced 101,700 units of the 107, rising to 116,100 vehicles in 2009. The Peugeot 107 held a 7% market share in 2010, coming in fifth in Europe's city-car segment.

All Peugeot 107 models ordered by the end of the year come with a complimentary Nokia 5230 smartphone with built-in GPS. Pricing starts at GBP 9,475 for the UK market (about EUR 11,200 or US $15,000).
