Oh my God, my jaw just dropped when i realized just how much the HR1 concept from 2010 looks like the new 208 hatchback, which was just recently revealed. It looks like they will indeed go ahead with production of the super-compact crossover, according to French publication Auto Plus.
It will likely compete against the upcoming Corsa SUV or the Nissan Juke. Peugeot really managed to impress us with the the new 4008 crossover, which is based on the Mitsubishi ASX. However, this will be an entirely new model, based on the 208 and exclusive to Peugeot.

More good news comes from the aforementioned source, as they say the 2008 indicates a station wagon version of the 208 is not going to be built at all. Both the 206 and the 207 had station wagons, and neither model has been successful.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
