Sporting a redesigned front fascia and minor cabin upgrades, the French automaker's workhorse is now more refined than ever before. Aesthetic improvements aside, the facelifted Peugeot Boxer also gets a strengthened body structure and slightly upgraded engines.
The engine options list includes the well-known 2.2-liter diesel offered in three power levels, as well as the 3.0-liter HDi 180 mill. Boasting the same performance and economy figures as before, the only real improvement is represented by the 5 g/km CO2 emissions drop for both units.
Conveying a strong sense of dynamism, safety and robustness, the new Boxer's styling cues offer a balanced combination between design and functionality. The three-piece black plastic front bumper contrasts harmoniously with the polished chrome surround of the radiator grille, while the new headlamp design incorporating LED daytime running lights completes the revamped look.
On the inside, the dash gets a new control panel with an updated range of audio systems, while the new black Darko cloth punctuated with red and grey is adopted for the seats, with the brown Achille trim as an option.
The top-spec model comes with a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features goodies such as sat-nav, a rear view camera, Bluetooth phone connectivity and MP3 playback support.
The facelifted Peugeot Boxer will come to European dealerships by the end of the summer. Platform brothers Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato and Ram ProMaster are expected to receive the same upgrades in the near future.
