Until Peugeot decided to replace it with the 301, the 308 will have to soldier on Malaysia and for that reason it’s received a facelift that will bring it in line with the bigger 508 styling-wise.
The new 308 incorporates the marque’s new stylistic ideals, with all different body shapes adopting a more sophisticated elegance. The grille is much smaller and has a chrome bevel around it to set it apart from the old grinning design. The headlights are also more slender.

Factors that have contributed to overall fuel savings include a weight reduction of 25 kg, tires with ultra-low rolling resistance, redesigned aerodynamics and optimized engines.

The range topping unit is the 308 Turbo, which offers the 1.6 THP with 156 hp and 240 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic box. Below it is the 308 TVi with a 1.6 naturally aspirated engine and 120 horsepower.

Standard equipment, depending on the version, includes air conditioning, ESP, ABS, EBFD, EBA, front and rear electric windows with child security, remote control central door locking with deadlocks and six SMART safety airbags.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
