We give Peugeot a bad time from time to time, but the French really do deliver on their promise of unique style. As far as we know, they're the only company who offer satin paint on a standard supermini. The 208 is also among the first cars with front parking sensors, has very sharply defined wheels and a small, distinctly French platform. In short, it's really cool, and now there's an even cooler version of called the 208 XY JBL, available only in France.
The 208 XY is already familiar to us as the top trim level of the Peugeot supermini, filled with premium features. The JBL part of the special edition has to do with a famous American audio electronics company currently owned by Harman International. They've partnered with the carmaker on a special edition and lent their name to the 8-speaker Hi-Fi audio system (that's four tweeters and 4 woofers). Melomaniacs will also enjoy a a 240W amplifier and a subwoofer.

And then there's the paint, ICE Grey, which has a satin beige finish accentuated by chromed door handles and mirror cases. Peugeot's ICE paint combines matte and satin finishes to give off a finish similar to the BMW Frozen paint. You'll have to be extra-careful when washing it, but my god does it look good.

Only 250 examples will ever be made, sold exclusively in France starting with the 12th of September. Prices will start at €23,350, with engine choices being "limited" to the best of the range: the 1.6 THP 155 or the diesel 1.6 e-HDi 115 FAP. Standard equipment includes LED daytime running lights, Park Assist, a panoramic roof and Peugeot's own navigation system.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
