Peugeot's 208 T16 Pikes Peak car, now decorated in its full racing colors a liverie, is getting ready for its big day by testing France before making its journey across the Atlantic. The perfect test climb chosen by the French is Mont Ventoux, one of the best known stages of the Tour de France.
Behind the wheel, WRC legendary driver Sebastien Loeb found that the 875 hp car is a beast of a car. During a rare photo opportunity, the 208 was joined by another legend of Pikes Peak, the 405 T16 Grand Rain, an 8.5-liter monster with 1200 hp from 1988.

“Driving it on a real road is a very useful pointer because that is what awaits us at Pikes Peak. Its handling is extremely responsive but I’m still not quite able to place it as precisely as I would like. That’s something we will need to work on a little more…” Loeb said.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
