Peugeot 108 GTi and Renault Twingo RS Return With Perfect Renderings

We don't know what it is about the French, but they just love small FWD cars. Sometimes, they even make them go fast, as was the case with the old Twingo RS. However, if they ever get round to making another one, it would technically be RWD.

The biggest missed opportunity is staring Renault in the face because the Twingo RS could be an icon. Who's to say the success story of the Fiat 500 Abarth can't be replicated.

We know there are engineering challenges with stuffing a bigger engine under the trunk of the Twingo. But it can be done, right? Anyway, the Renaultsport engineers did give us a slightly fruitier version, the Twingo GT. And that serves as the reference for this latest rendering.

We know it's been done before, but this time, it's a little more modern with none of that Clio 197 barbarity going on. We will admit that the Twingo is a horrible car to base a hot hatch on. Not only is the engine compartment tiny, but the body is very narrow and tall.

You can't see it in the photos, but once you've driven the car or its sister, the smart forfour, you'll notice the body lean immediately.

Hey, Renault, I've driven your sister. Whatcha got to say about that? Nothing, because all you have is a 0.9-liter engine. I drink more than 0.9 liters of vodka every day because I'm a real man. Anyway, the French at Virtuel Car have also put together another rendering of the Peugeot 108 GTi.

It's got the paint from its bigger brothers, two exhaust pipes, and large wheels. Of course, Peugeot will never build such a thing because they are too busy developing particle filters for minivan buyers. Those guys drink 0.9-liters of soy milk every day, as they are scared of something called Cholesterol.

The point is that the customers for the 108 GTi and the Twingo RS don't exist. Why? Because modern cars are too freaking expensive, and they don't have a built-in Pokemon Go app.
